Before you choose the daughter,
take a look at the mother.
Lean and successful. Characteristics that are associated directly with the Porsche name.
But what seems like a matter of course today was not always so. At the beginning of the 90s, the automaker was in a crisis. A radical rethinking and streamlining process was necessary. And successful. After only 3 years, the turnaround had been achieved - followed by a growth path that still continues today.
In August 1994, a new company emerged from the successful restructuring of the sports car manufacturer: Porsche Consulting GmbH. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG.
With the founding of Porsche Consulting GmbH, the employees of Porsche AG, who had actively codesigned both the optimization of the internal value added - that is, their own production - and the process optimization with supplier integration, made their on-the-job experience in a consultant function available to other companies. And this could make them the only consultants who have actually tested and successfully implemented their own recommendations.
Today, too, consultants from Porsche Consulting are supporting the growth process of the smallest independent, yet most profitable automotive manufacturer in the world. Meanwhile, Porsche Consulting has also grown a bit. Now you can find us among the top 20 of the largest German consulting firms. Most of our consulting activities take place outside of Porsche AG.
At Porsche Consulting, the value-added process is at the center of all activities. Next to people, of course. We design and optimize processes along the entire value-added chain.
But what exactly makes us so successful? Maybe it is that we work only according to principles that have made Porsche successful and still do. Maybe because we make this tried-and-true knowledge available across industries. Personal. Pragmatic. Value, implementation, and process oriented. And always highly efficient. For the leanest companies possible.
