Porsche

Our roots

Lean and successful – these are the attributes associated with the name of Porsche today. This has not always been the case: At the beginning of the 1990s, the automobile manufacturer was mired in crisis. It was high time for a radical rethink and reorganization. The outcome was successful: After just three years the company had used its own strengths to turn itself around.

One outcome of the restructuring exercise undertaken by Porsche was a new subsidiary, which emerged in August 1994: Porsche Consulting GmbH.

At Porsche Consulting, selected Porsche AG employees who made an active contribution to transforming the company now put their practical experience at the disposal of other organizations. This makes them probably the only consultants who have already tested and successfully implemented their recommendations in their own company.

Consultants from Porsche Consulting help both the parent company and external customers to gain a sustainable competitive advantage. This is achieved through superior operating performance. Porsche Consulting has grown steadily over the years. With a workforce numbering over 300 (as of March 1, 2012), we are now a leading operational consultancy.

Today, most of our consultancy is provided to companies outside of Porsche AG. We advise global groups and SMEs from a whole range of industries: automotive, mechanical engineering, aerospace, pharmaceuticals and health care, and also service providers such as banks and insurance companies.
